Music in Worship

Music plays an important role in worship at Heritage.  Through the music ministry at Heritage we seek to praise God with gladness, to proclaim His steadfast love for His people and to meditate upon and proclaim the redeeming work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our worship service is "traditional" in nature.  We sing "psalms, hymns and spiritual songs."  Many of the hymns we sing are from the Trinity hymnal, supplemented with psalms and modern hymns.

We encourage the participation of the body, both young and old, not only through communal singing in the worship service but also through the various gifts and talents that God has provided to His people.

Presently, our ministry includes Adult Choir, Children's Choir, small ensembles, and opportunities for vocal or instrumental solos or accompaniment during the worship service.  We also have special services such as the annual Christmas Program, Good Friday service and Easter that provide additional opportunities to serve through music.
